Confirmation

Confirmation is a Catholic sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepending of baptismal gifts. It is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation for Catholics. It is most often associated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and becoming an active member of the Catholic church.

Youth ages 14-17 are eligible for this program. Young people who are in a Catholic high school are eligible to participate in their senior year as part of their training to receive this sacrament.

During their formation, the youth are responsible for thier own work, independently of their parents, just as they themselves have to freely choose to be confirmed. Parents throughout the formation time must support their child and be present during the preparation process and attend parent training twice a month.

The program is 2 years of preparation, attending 2 times a month, starting in September to May. Part of the preparation of the candidates is to perform community service hours, attending mass on Wednesday (Confirmation classes are on Wednesdays), Sunday mass and Adoration.

First year fee: $100 per student.

Second year fee: $200 per student (includes retreat).
