Our Religious Education Program: serves children in grades 1 through 9. Classes of no more than 22 children or less; and are taught by a volunteer catechist with a classroom aide. The catechists are trained during the summer months and meet with the Director of Religious Education regularly. Classes are weekly from September through May from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the St. Helen Church. While the children attend classes parents are to gather in the school cafeteria for the parent sessions and hospitality. Families are also required to attend Mass before or after classes; Mass schedules are 8:30 a.m. in Spanish and 10:30 am in English at St. Helen Church. 8:30 am in English and 11:30 are in Spanish at St. Alexander church.
Curriculum: “Alive in Christ”: Here the child learns about the Catholic Church teachings; Liturgy & Prayers, Morality and Sacraments. The text has both classroom and family components. Parents are the first teacher of the faith to their children and we the Church are an extension of those teachings.
First grade through ninth grade are offer monolingual and we also offer classes in Spanish second grade through sixth grade.
